Namaste Bazaar 3.0 Brought 20 Malaysian Online vendors Together For A Good Cause

February 05, 2020

A group of online vendors came together to in a meaningful bazaar,  Namaste Bazaar 3.0 recently to offer their handmade fashion pieces, ethnic and modern outfits, handmade bags, books, costume jewellery, juttis, sarees, religious books, bags, food items and more to Penangnites! There were also a good number of fashion lovers who traveled from Kuala Lumpur to shop at the bazaar that focussed on quality over quantity of vendors.
The support from all vendors enabled the organisers to contribute an amount of donation to the Ramakrishna Ashrama, Penang and help children aged 7 to 20 under their care.
Organised in special collaboration with the ‘Penang State Executive Council for Religions other than Islam’ and ‘Pusat Harmoni Pulau Pinang, Namaste Bazaar 3.0, held on a special sate 02.02.2020 from 10 am to 7 pm at Pusat Harmoni Pulau Pinang, Georgetown in Malaysia, was truly a successful event that helped bring the online vendors closer to their followers.
A co-organiser of the event, Sangeetha Radhakrishnan, shared in a Facebook post (below) how the event was held for a greater cause than just business.
STAND OUT AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE
We thank each of you for your immense support in making the Namaste Bazaar 3.0 a successful one. It was a day filled with laughter, fun, comradeship and good sales. Our heartfelt gratitude in particular to the Penang State EXCO for Religions other than Islam and the Pusat Harmoni Pulau Pinang; whom we greatly benefited via a collaboration.

The participation fee from the 20 vendors were used prudently and we are happy to donate the excess amount from our kitty to the Ramakrishna Ashrama, Penang. The Ashrama is a charitable organisation founded in 1938 under the inspirational guidance of His Holiness Swami Bhaswarananda Maharaj. Among its activities, the Ashrama runs an Orphanage catering for both boys and girls, whose ages range from 7 to 20 years. The Orphanage admits children who are orphaned, children who have lost either one of their parents and needy children from poor or broken families.

Hoping that our bit will make a small difference in the running of the Ashrama and looking forward to a sustainable partnership.
