Superstar Rajinikanth's fan paints the street KABALI

Jegathesan Palanisamy a huge fan of superstar Rajinikanth painted the street KABALI recently! The 33 year-old art enthusiast from Klang, could not have chose a better way to portray his love for the actor with a worldwide fan base. 


The Limkokwing University graphic design graduate said he used 3 regular aerosol spray paints to create his idol's image.

"It took me about 3 hours to complete," he told Journalist2Jabber in a conversation.


Kabali a big budget Tamil film costing RM60 million, is one of the most anticipated film this year, slated for release on 22 July.

While filming mostly occurred in Malaysia, smaller scenes were shot in Bangkok and Hong Kong.

Kabali will have three versions — Tamil, Telugu and Hindi — and will also be dubbed into Malay and will have a Malaysian release on 29 July.


The film will also be dubbed in Thai and Chinese, where talks are under way to simultaneously release the film in Hong Kong and China. Kabali will also premiere at the Le Grand Rex in Paris, France.

A major plus for Kabali is that its 'U' certification makes it eligible for exemption from entertainment tax free in Tamil Nadu — its core box office collections “constituency".

According to the official distributor, Datuk Abdul Malik Dasthigeer. there were plans to dub the film to Bahasa Indonesia depending on the reception of the citizens there.


Apart from Rajinikanth,65 the film also stars local actors Datuk Rosyam Nor, Norman Hakim and Zack Taipan.

After AirAsia, the highly anticipated Rajinikanth starrer has tied up with telecom operator Bharti Airtel and multiplex operator PVR, with exclusive offers and merchandise to woo fans.
The partnership with Airtel will include exclusive Kabali recharge packs like unlimited 2G internet, hello tunes and even Kabali branded SIM cards.
What excites Malaysians more is having our homegrown talents including Roshan Jamrock featured in the blockbuster of the year.
