SHALINI DEVI GANESAN is a true manifestation that if you truly want something, nothing can stop you! She did not allow her condition - Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2 to stop her from doing something she loves from home. The condition made her muscles weak and caused her to be wheelchair-bound.

But this is no barrier to the 22-year-old to share her passion for cooking. Her favourite Malaysian dishes recipes are now available on her Youtube channel - Shalini Views

In an uploaded interview - 'An Inspiring Woman I Met in Malaysia' by Urika Angeresu in her Youtube channel Ma'am Urika, Shalini said she created the Youtube channel with the support of her family because she wanted to do something useful.

"Everyone is special, some can sing, some can dance, people have some talent and can do anything they want. Don't lose hope in any situation, just believe in yourself. Believe in God but you must put some effort."

She also thanked her supportive cousin for making the channel happen for her. "Life is something beautiful that God gave me," she said in the video.

Ma'am Urika a Youtuber from the Philippines was seen crying during the interview with Shalini, as she was touched by Shalini's determination and at the end of the video said that she has learned so much from Shalini who is such a positive person. 

"I learned a lot of things from her. Especially having a positive view about life. I was inspired by her and I am sure you will too!" 

The Youtube channel Shalini Views kickstarted two months ago and has 3.1k subscribers.

In the videos, she is seen explaining in detail the ingredients needed for each dish, cooking methods, and doing the cooking herself with assistance from a family member when needed. 

Shalini has so far shared a number of Malaysian recipes such as ayam kicap manis, roti ubi keledek goreng, ikan bilis kacang manis, cendawan goreng yang ranggup, kangkung belacan, kari ikan bawal emas, coriander pepper chicken, and ikan siakap sweet and sour.
