Suhashini - Founder of Medhini Studios was inspired to design her own jewellery after a trip to India.
"The idea came about after setting my eyes on terracotta jewellery during a trip to India. I was intrigued by the vibrant colours!"
Suhashini said that she was then curious to know how the fashion pieces were made.
"I did some research to know everything I could to make them on my own. I learnt as much as I could, but I never really had the time to initiate the designing process to make it happen before my marriage."
However, her entrepreneurial dream came true post-marriage, with the support of her husband, Thinakaran.
"After I got married in 2016, and after the delivery of my first baby, somehow 'the time' arrived and I started making the jewellery that I always dreamt of."
Suhashini later shared them on social media and got some good responses.
"I then got a lot of requests to customise jewellery and started communicating with my clients more frequently to design the fashion pieces that they needed for their special occasions."
When asked about the challenges she faced, Suhashini said, "I have to juggle between my design work and my sons. And I must say that I'm blessed with a supportive husband who encourages me a lot!"
"Upon reaching home right after work, he takes care of my sons and the rest of the chores at home, so that I have enough time and space to put my vision into designing my jewellery.
She added that her husband also joins her, giving her a hand when she needs the most.
Her favourite creation you ask? It the Rajinikanth series!
