The sought after make up artist in town, turned fashion designer said he has had his hands full since the recent New Zealand fashion week.
“I have been really busy with NZ fashion week and all, so this time I’m doing with something minimal, the Laxmi collection was already grand,” he said.
He added that the showcase for MIFF will see a full white collection.
“The collection is inspired by goddess Saraswathy who is the one who comes to mind for music, arts and knowledge,” he said.

Hariharan highlighted that the Indian touch this time will be magnified by his way of styling, handpicked accessories and pottu/bindis.
Quest about his showstopper for the show, Hariharan said it was none other than entrepreneur and model Shanti Vikna Raj for her natural beauty and grace in carrying his designs.

Hariharan Arasu's collection to go international
When asked about the recent NZ fashion week, Hariharan said it was an amazing one.
“Participating in the fashion week gives a young and upcoming designer to opportunity to enter emerging markets and to put our designs out there in trade show,” he said.
Hariharan may soon be a very first Malaysian Indian designer selling his wearable collection in mass quantity, in Harrods for example.
“The feedback has been good, I’m now just waiting for the call from those interested to make my dream a reality,”
He added that the next few months will see him travelling a lot including to Shanghai, Dubai and Australia in December.

Hariharan Arasu also gave a special shout-out to bride’s wanting to wear Ardana Haran’s design on their big day to get in touch at least three months ahead.
“The made to measure bridal collection is happening on the side and keeping the team busy,” he said. He added that dinner brides can expect to have their outfits ready in a month.
