School sets up free pantry to help students in need!

August 21, 2020

In a post shared by SMK Wangsa Melawati, the school announced the launch of a free pantry to help its students ease their family's hardship with a rack filled with essential items.

Among the items available for students to pick and take home are biscuits, cooking oil, canned food, milo, flour, rice, mee hoon, and soap.

A pull-up banner next to the rack states that donations from parents are welcomed to assist students in need. The items accepted are stationaries, food, drinks, groceries, and also cash.

The post added that the project by the school's parent-teacher association is an idea to help students who come from underprivileged backgrounds or families affected by the pandemic.

Congratulations on this great effort SMK Wangsa Melawati and we hope many others will be inspired by this novel idea!
