The Malaysian Tamil movie, Maravan is set to reach Chennai audience in a few days. The news, shared in a Facebook post by SD Puvanendran, has got Malaysian artist and fans alike excited for Maravan to hit Kollywood grounds and give the audience there a feel of our homegrown production.
It was learned that Maravan will be screened on 30th September 2016 (Friday) and those interested could send an inbox message for an invitation.
Released last October, Maravan is SD Puvanendran’s directorial debut, written and produced by M. Chandran, vocalist from the band The Keys. Running at 120 minutes, the cast includes Kumaresh Haridass, Denes Kumar, Kavitha Thiagarajan, Logan, Seelan, Pushpa Narayanan and Sangeetha Krishnasamy.
Maravan tells the story of a rubber tapper’s journey from rags-to-riches gone wrong amidst an illicit entanglement with human trafficking and drug trade, was inspired by true events. SD Puvanendran took to Facebook has been pleased with the film’s international performance, after it raked in over RM91, 000 at the local box office.
